Chapter Leaders Conference Information
Chapter Leaders Followup
Thank you to all who joined us at this year’s Chapter Leaders Conference! We had great representation with more than 80 people representing chapters. Special thanks to the Aurora Chapter for sponsoring the murder mystery entertainment as part of the opening evening reception.
At this time, we just wanted to provide information on a few follow-up items:
FISH! Philosophy Video: Several chapters have already expressed an interest in the FISH! Video and training that the Corporate Learning Institute provided on Friday morning. As a result, we now have an arrangement with the Missouri League to offer the program. They charge $500 for the two-hour class, plus travel. That price does include all materials. For more information, please contact: Julie Schulte, MS, CUDE, Director, Education & Training, Phone 314-542-1321; Email jschulte@mcua.org. Thanks to Corporate America Family Credit Union for providing several complimentary copies of each of the corresponding books at the conference.
Photos: As you have time, feel free to check out the Flickr online photo album of pictures from the event. They are available by clicking here.
iBelong Campaign: For those of you have not seen the information about this year's iBelong Campaign that was mentioned toward the end of the conference or are interested in the specific details, please see the campaign's page on the League Web site by clicking here.
Listserv: As you may or may not be aware, a listserv is available to all chapter leaders as a means of communication and to share ideas on an on-going basis. In case you are not familiar, a listserv is an interactive online discussion feature in which groups of people with common interests (i.e., Chapter Leaders) can exchange ideas via email. Using a Listserv is almost like using regular e-mail, except that instead of sending a message to an individual, your message is sent to all members who are signed up on the list. When you reply to a message from the list, that reply goes back to all of the list subscribers as well. You can choose which messages to respond to and share your expertise. All chapter leaders have been placed on the listserv, so please watch your email for a separate message regarding details about how to access and utilize this resource.
Roundtable discussions: Speaking of sharing ideas, summaries from the roundtable discussion portion of the conference on Friday afternoon are being compiled and will be available for your reference soon via the League’s Web site. As soon as those are posted, we will let you know.
Expense reports: If you have not already, please be sure to submit your expense report, which is available by clicking here.
Thanks again for your support of the chapter system. If you have any follow-up questions from the conference, please contact our Education Department at (630) 983-3417.
